” I don’t need a killer-instinct for peak performance. I’ve adapted a healthier and more benefical view of my opponents as partners who afford me the opportunity to raise the level of my own performance. I depend on them to extend by limits. I remind myself of how they help me reach my potential and assist me in entering a race in a more RELAXED, FOCUSED and  ENERGIZED state of mind. They are important to me – because they are here – I’m experiencing a greater depth as an athlete.
